[Closed] - GIVEAWAY - ChicoBag Eco-Friendly Halloween Bag

Going to the grocery store and using their single-use plastic bags is not only a hassle, its not eco-friendly. As more and more eco-friendly products continue to make way, companies like ChicoBag come into play. Andy Keller founded ChicoBag in 2005 after a previous visit to a local landfill, which he saw was blanketed by one-time use plastic bags. After many fabrics and prototypes, ChicoBag now carries reusable bags made of polyester, hemp and their trademarked rePETe products. ChicoBag's rePETe products are made using recycled materials. 

After contacting ChicoBag, I was sent a bag for review (& one to giveaway). I was sent the cute 2010 Halloween Trick or Treat ChicoBag which was a design inspired by the 2009 contest winner. ChicoBag is hosting its 3rd annual Trick or Treat Design Contest for 2011. Its open until October 31st for kids up to 13 years of age. How fun! :)

The bag is absolutely adorable! The website claims it holds up to 25lb. but seeing how well made it is, i'm sure it can take more than that. It is made of woven polymer. This bag is going to work great for trick or treating on the 31st, its large enough to carry the loads of candy we are hoping to come by. My little sister already called shotgun on the bag, she took a liking to the adorable design. I absolutely love that the bag conveniently folds into an integrated pouch that also contains a carabiner. That is a very handy feature. As my sister was playing with the bag she spilled some juice on it. Worried, she came and quickly let me know. I washed it with no problem and no harm whatsoever was done to the bag after its soap and water ride.

The Halloween Trick or Treat ChicoBag is eco-friendly, reusable and fun! It runs for $5.99 on ChicoBag.com and can be reused for grocery shopping and other errands. Whats great is that 10% of the sale price of these bags go to Green Halloween; a grassroots movement that is helping families and communities nationwide start new, healthier holiday traditions.

ChicoBag sells a variety of reusable, recycled and eco-friendly bags in many different styles. Prices range from $5 - $25, which are reasonable to me. I think everyone should have a reusable bag to use for groceries and shopping. Even the stores where you shop now sell them and conveniently many also give you a credit on your trip for using one.
