Review - EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Bathroom Scale

EatSmart Logo
Whats one critical product you need to help you lose weight? Without a doubt, it had to be a bathroom scale. Before I started my Nutrisystem journey 3 weeks ago we had only 1 bathroom scale. It was old and not digital. This never bothered me because I NEVER used it. There was no way to properly track every pound I lost with it, so getting the chance to review the EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Baathroom Scale was GREAT timing.

EatSart Logo
The EatSmart digital bathroom scale came with 4 AAA batteries so it was ready to use. I am STILL surprised at how thin this scale actually is, compared to the old bulky non-digital one we had. At only an inch off the ground, it is very low-profile. I store it in the corner of the bathroom and the door opens right over over it, eliminating the need to keep moving it. The scale is quite light, at only 3.6lbs., and sturdy, made out of aluminum and plastic. The scale also features a 3.6" LCD back-lit (cool blue) display that allows you to see it in the dark, four high-gauge Precision G sensors (to accurately measure weight up to 400lbs)., and step-on technology.

With an accurate readout of 0.2lb. I have been able to track my weight loss these past weeks. I have found no problems with the bathroom scale and find it extremely convenient. People are advised not to weigh themselves everyday, but knowing how much I weight in the morning and how it fluctuates throughout the day after eating is just something I enjoy keeping track of too. Its so easy and to use, step on and BAM, there you have your weight. I'm glad I no longer have to ask someone to get close to the floor only to estimate my weight on those tiny bars on regular scales. Available for only $32.95 (on sale, from $64.95) on Amazon, the bathroom scale is a great deal.

EatSmart has great products to help you get or stay healthy. From kitchen scales, to bathroom scales that measure your body weight percentage, bone mass percentage, body fat percentage, etc. EatSmart is not only dedicated to providing us with products to help us, they also help others. Every month EatSmart's Facebook followers to recommend a Charity or Cause. By clicking on their Amazon Link (where you can also buy their products) they generate referral money through Amazon Associates, of which 100% of the proceeds are donated to the chosen charity or cause for that month. May 2011 is the month they donate to the National Fibromyalgia Association. A huge thanks to EatSmart for providing me with the scale to review. Its getting its daily usage by myself and sibling that just love to check their weight now too. :)

What Is Your REAL Age?

While browsing around, I came across Dr. Oz's RealAge survey that asks you questions about your Health, Feelings, Diet and Fitness to  calculate your RealAge. I took the test just 5 minutes ago and was a little disappointed that my RealAge was in my late-30s, I am only 22. During the fitness part of the survey I put that I regularly exercise and eat healthy now, I'd hate to do it over during my pre-Nutrisystem time, I'm sure my RealAge would then of been somewhere near late-40s. Thanks goodness I am changing my eating and exercise habits, I am surely taking years of my life BACK. The test and results are FREE, no need to pay for anything.

Nonetheless, the survey is quite fast and fun :) Millions have taken Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen’s RealAge Test. Find out how old you really are!

My Nutrisystem Weekly Weigh-In (Week #2)

I honestly can't believe its already been two weeks, I almost forgot to write up this weekly weigh-in post, lol. I did have a point towards the end of the week where I got a little off-track. One single slice of pizza and one burger were used as a replacement on two occasions. I was still within my daily calorie intake of 1,100 - 1,300. I have never gone over while on Nutrisystem. I have been educating myself this week about food and calories and exercise. Apparently, burning more calories than you consume is ideal for losing weight. I thought I wouldn't have time to possibly do that, but worked out today (even though Monday is official the 1st day of the next Nutrisystem week) for an hour. I burned 503 calories with the EA Sports Active 2 game for the XBOX 360 Kinect (review coming next week). I figure if I can work out at least an hour a day I can burn off a good chunk of calories I consume in a day, as opposed to the 150-300 calories I was burning 3-4 days for the past 2 weeks. I'm going to make it a goal to do this daily or at least 6 days a week. I love the game, I got it Thursday the 28th and have burned over 2,500 calories already.

This past week I was able to taste some new Nutrisystem foods. Likes: Glazed Chicken Tenders, Salisbury Steak with Macaroni and Cheese, Cheese Tortellini, Creamy Fudge Bar. Dislike: Homestyle Pancakes, Three Cheese Pasta w/ Chicken. I also tried the Orange Creme Bar which I thought was O.K.. So far, the Three Cheese Pasta w/ Chicken is the ONLY meal I absolutely couldn't stomach, it disgusted me. As for my add-ins, Its still hard to eat 4 servings of veggies so I bought a bottle of V8-Juice, I couldn't stomach that either, go figure. However, I tried green beans this week and surprisingly don't hate them. Soda and coffee have been completely cut out of my life for now. I drink water, straight, or add Crystal Light Fruit Punch or Hawaiian Punch Grape and Lememberry Squeeze On-The-Go pouches. They are only 10 calories a pouch. I have noticed drinking this much water is clearing up my face (I used to occasionally get red dry areas on my cheeks or random bumps but don't have acne) and I don't get headaches much anymore. I just feel GREAT cutting the soda out.

This week has been great, even though I steered away a little towards the end of the week I am STILL within my daily calorie intake, which has consistently been below 1,300. My pants already are feeling looser and I can squeeze (very tightly, lol) into my old pants that are 4 sizes below my actual size. I look forward to putting them on in just a couple months! As I previously mentioned, I will be reviewing EA Sports Active 2 game for the XBOX 360 Kinect soon, its what I've been using to get my exercise in and its been wonderful. I got the game on Thursday the 28th and have burned over 2,500 calories already. I really push myself for EACH work out and it has been showing on the scale. Thanks to the people over at EatSmart, I now have the EatSmart Precision Premium Digital Bathroom Scale, now i get a precise amount of what I've lost. I will also be reviewing this great scale later on this week! :) Don't forget to Check out my entire Nutrisystem Journey and photos on Flickr! Now its time, my weight loss for my 2nd week on NutriSystem:

Weight Loss:
-6.2 lbs.[4/25 - 5/1]
-3.1 lbs.[5/2 - 5/8]
Total: 9.3 lbs.
