Review - Alizé Halloween-Inspired Recipes

Going trick or treating? Not many people 18+ do, but we do tend to enjoy a good costume party or get-together at home. I received a sample of Alizé liqueur to help inspire my little costume party get together this Halloween. With drink recipes named Devil's Punch, Mad Scientist Sangria and Vampire Kiss Martini, who could resist?

I was contacted to review and received a bottle of Alizé Liqueur's Gold Passion (L'Original Exotic Passion Fruit delicately blended with premium French Vodka). It contains 16% alcohol by volume and has a fun golden color that goes well with its name. I received a couple of Halloween-inspired recipes, but only 2 included Alizé's Gold Passion.

Vampire Kiss Martini:

1 ½ ounce Alizé Red Passion

1 ounce Alizé Gold Passion

1 ounce premium vodka

Top with lemonade, serve in martini glass

Devil's Punch:

2 ounces Alizé Gold Passion

2 ounces Bacardi Limon

Splash of Canton Ginger Liqueur

Splash of Cranberry juice

Splash of Lime juice

Splash of Ginger ale

Since I only received the Gold Passion, and like the taste of it alone, I decided to buy Alizé Red Passion for the drink recipes. I tried the Vampire Kiss Martini and absolutely loved the flavor. It was great, not one thing overpowered the other and mixed well. The Devil's Punch was a favorite of a couple friend of mine, but not mine. I'm not sure if it was the Canton (which my friends had handy) but this recipe just didn't appeal to me. I'm glad they came over and helped, as we will be buying more for our Halloween party and are positive they will be a hit!

This is a long week :)

Wow. This week sure does feel long! Hopefully I'll have time to put up some of the Halloween decorations! I have to look for the fog machine in the garage and i dread going in there. I'm sure my family is not the only one that doesn't use their garage for cars lol, to us its storage space. We have one of our cars in there but its only because it broke down last year and haven't been able to fix it. Our driveway fits 6 cars so its more than enough space, and thats not counting the sidewalk :)

I've been having too much fun this week. I was contacted and got the opportunity to review the Sony Ericsson Vivaz cell phone that is available for AT&T. This phone has an amazing 8.1 megapixel camera and takes video in HD. Wow, right? I want to test it out some more before I write up my review but can already say the HD camera and video it takes is the major selling point for it. I took a couple pictures in my room earlier so you guys can see the quality (no photoshop, no croping, or resize whatsoever):

The 1st picture is of the adorable Kai Lan (from the Nick show, Ni Hao Kai Lan) on my bed. The 2nd is of my Tokidoki bag, which I adore with all my heart. The sun was just rising and my room was still dark and these pictures look amazing coming from a cell phone! I want to take a couple of videos for the review too :)

Review - Dunkin' Donuts

All of America might not run on Dunkin', but I sure do! I absolutely love them and adore that they've been around my whole life. While in High School i can remember getting up early morning just to catch a croissant and coffee during winter practically every day. I would also stop by during lunch time! I can say that Dunkin' Donuts has been loyal to me :)

I was contacted and offered to review the Dunkin' Donuts Special Holiday Coffee Flavors. Seeing as how i adore them, I agreed to review. I received Vanilla Nut (blue), Mocha Mint (green) and Pumpkin Spice (orange). First off, I have to say I adore the Holiday packaging, I think it works well with the holiday flavors. The bright packaged coffee came in 11oz. bags.

As soon as the package came, i had to try the Mocha Mint, as I'm a big fan of anything mint. The taste was very pleasant, the mint was not overpowering like I was hoping it would be. Not heavy or bitter and a dark caramel color. The smell right when you open the bag was amazingly delicious. The Vanilla Nut was also great, it had a rich scent as you open the bag and was very light. I loved the taste rich taste of hazelnut in this one. It was my friends favorite of the bunch. The Pumpkin Spice had a repugnant smell. It definitely not one I would buy, I'm just not fan of anything pumpkin.

Overall, I enjoyed the opportunity to taste Dunkin' Donut's Holiday Coffee Flavors. I will surely be making many cups of Mocha Mint as this cold weather kicks in. So a big thanks to them for the opportunity! :) Don't forget to grab these at you local grocery store soon, as they are seasonal.

Halloween is near; Black Friday around the corner!

I can't believe its almost Halloween! How fun! Time is sure passing by fast. Or, it just might seem like that because of my extremely busy days now with school and work. Some of my neighbors already have Halloween decorations up, and we haven't :( I'm hoping to maybe get that done this week. We don't have much, just some spiderwebs that come intertwined in two colors (white, red; white, black), hangable things, a super cute Frankenstein, lol. We also have a fog machine and a strobe light.

Since we just moved to this new house last year, we didn't know what to expect and ran out of candy fast last year. We bought about 15 bags this year, nothing spectacular but a lot of cute random Halloween candy (jelly filled hearts, Pokemon lollipops and other stuff). How much candy do you guys buy?

In other news, I won a giveaway over at Sandy's Baking Memories. You guys should check her out, she makes some super-cute cookies! I saw some really great Hello Kitty ones and Star Wars... I was searching for Star Trek but no luck :( It would be great to have some Spock and Captain Kirk cookies. Chekov too. lol. She let me know I should be getting my Halloween cookies by the 31st and I can't wait. See her cute cookies below:

With Halloween coming up, that means Black Friday is right around the corner! Who is exited for Black Friday!? I sure am! I do Black Friday every year and can't wait for it! There is just something attractive about it, maybe the low prices? Have any of you actually done it? What is the longest you waited in line? The longest I've waited in line was 2 and a half days! It was really cold too.

I never expected them to be as big as they are.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these sugar cookies were not overly sweet. I thought the layer of icing would make up for that, but it didn't. That made them perfect for my younger brother and sister to eat. For their ginormous size, the cookie itself is very soft and light. I almost felt guilty eating such a cute concoction. :) I love these preservative-free cookies. I stored a couple in the freezer to keep them fresh,
