FREE Reusable Bags @ Target On 4/22 For Earth Day

April 22 is Earth Day and Target will be giving away FREE reusable bags again! Last year, I got there early and we managed to get 3 free reusable bags last Earth Day. We adore the bags and use them on every trip. If your cashier doesn't have them handy, make sure you go check the Guest Service desk area. From what I've read, they tend to go quickly. There will be free reusable bags, 1 per customer, in participating stores.

Don't forget to let the cashier know when you're using your reusable bags, you get $0.05 per each bag on every trip.

Review - Dr. Drip Coffee and Vapur Fun-Size Anti Bottles

Vapur and Dr. Drip Products
Traveling to other countries is fun... lugging around a coffee maker isn't. I wasn't looking forward to finding a place in my suitcase for my bulky coffee maker, but now luckily won't have to. I recently got the chance to review some Dr. Drip Coffee products and have to say, this is one ingenious idea! I also had the chance to review some fun new Vapur Anti-Bottles, I love these things!

Dr. Drip is a single-serve brewing system that is portable, much like instant coffee from one-time use pouches, BUT Dr. Drip has come up with an ingenious way to make it so we can brew coffee portably. How is this possible? They have this super-cool packaging that includes the coffee and filter. It is individually wrapped as well, so its truly portable. Crack open a box, open the pouch and follow the instructions on the packaging. All you need is hot water and a cup. I wanted to see how portable Dr. Drip was so the other morning I took a pouch with me and went to class. My professor has a handy little microwave in the class so I heated up some water, opened the pouch, placed it over a disposable cup and brewed coffee... IN CLASS. Crazy fun! Everyone seemed to enjoy the smell of fresh coffee floating around the class, even the smell of coffee wakes you up :) The coffee itself is a 100% Arabica bean mix, I preferred the Double Daily Remedy I received over the Organic Tonic, as it didn't have a rich flavor.

I also received the Vapur Fun-Size Anti-Bottles in Purple. These BPA-free anti-bottle hold 14oz. of liquid and are a great size for kids and their lunch bags. My sister who just started Kindergarten has been using the white/purple Vapur fun-size anti-bottle and loves it. She can open it easily to drink and likes that it doesn't take up much space after its empty in her cute lunch bag. The Vapur Anti-bottle is freezable, washable, foldable and reusuable.

Overall, I think both are great ingenious products that are very eco-friendly. I had previously reviewed Vapur (regular-sized Anti-Bottle) and loved it. I use it very often and have even bought some for friends of mine that seemed to adore the idea of its foldability (lol). The Dr. Drip's packaging, filters and coffee are recyclable, compostable and biodegradable, making it that much more appealing. Huge thanks for the opportunity to review both these products!

Disclaimer: I was NOT paid for this post, however I did receive the product in question, from the company or their representing PR company, free of charge in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own and I have provided a fair and honest review. I received no other compensation for my review nor was I under any obligation to give a positive review.

[Closed] GIVEAWAY - Vapur, The Anti-Bottle

Like I've mentioned before, its never been easier to reduce your carbon footprint. Vapur is another innovative eco-friendly product with a unique idea. Vapur is an anti-bottle, you fill it up and its able to stand and when you're finished, it easily rolls up for easy and convenient storage. Thanks to Vivian over at Vapur I was sent a bottle for review.

I received the Vapur bottle (16oz.) in smoke. Its very cute and stylish :) Vapur bottles are made from Ultra-durable BPA-Free polymer. This bottle is dish-washer friendly, freezable, reusable (unlike regular water bottles), and just plain cute. It comes with a sports cap, but I prefer to unscrew it and drink that way.

As soon as i got it I rinsed it (i always rinse) and filled it up with water and put it in the freezer. With this heat wave here in L.A., I've been using it as an ice pack and drink it as it thaws. Its been keeping me cool :). What i really love about the Vapur bottle is that its so convenient! When your done drinking whatever you have in there, you fold it up and put it away, it literally fits in your pocket.

These bottles are very convenient and are perfect for everyone in your household. They are priced at $8.95 so you can buy one for every member of your family. The great thing is, they come in different colors and are customizable. There is a white strip in the back where you can write the name of who it will belong to. And, with the Carabineer Clip, its easy to not loose them.

Not only do I adore the idea of this BPA-free anti-bottle, i love the company. They are part of the 1% For The Planet program, in which they which we give a portion of all Vapur sales to water-related environmental causes. A company with an eco-friendly product that gives back to the community. Overall I'm impressed with Vapur, its company and product. Thanks to Vapur for the opportunity to review their bottle and have one of my lucky readers WIN one too!

[Closed] GIVEAWAY - EcoUsable Stainless Steel Bottles

Living green is getting much easier! There are so many things available to those of us that want to reduce our carbon footprint in the world. There are so many products and companies out there that will also help make our transition much easier and convenient. EcoUsable is one of those companies.

Thanks to Marc over at EcoUsable, I was sent a package of their products to review. Unfortunately, none of my pictures came out to well, so stock pictures will be used. I received (1) Metallic Green Filtered Stainless Steel Bottle (25oz.), (1) Light Blue Big Dipper Stainless Steel Bottle (25oz.) , (1) Stainless Steel Bottle (33oz.), (1) Wally the Whale Stainless Steel Bottle (10oz.), (2) Sport Caps, (3) Water Wraps, and (1) Filter Replacement. Good news is, I was sent enough and will giveaway one! More on that below.
EcoUsable's Stainless Steel Bottles are BPA-free, eco-friendly and extremely adorable! Instead of contributing to the 60 million water bottles that go into landfills everyday, I want to reduce my carbon footprint by using these amazing stainless steel bottles. What even greater is that EcoUsable has made the worlds 1st BPA-free Stainless Steel Filtered Bottle.

The BPA-free Stainless Steel Filtered Bottle removes 99.99% of pollutants in water per 100 gallons. So you have instantly filtered water on the go! Its a must-have for those who go camping; you can easily fill the bottle with stream or river water and the filtration system will do the rest. The Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration System is an entire water filtration plant within a portable bottle. The patented Ionic-Absorption Micro-Filtration reduces up to 99.99% of the following zones of contamination:
  • Aesthetics: unpleasant taste, odor, clarity, chlorine, sand, sediment and Radon 222.
  • Biological: Pathogens such as cryptosporidium, giardia & other cysts and spores.
  • Chemicals: toxic chemicals, detergents, pesticides and other harmful industrial and agricultural wastes.
  • Dissolved Solids: heavy metals such as aluminum, asbestos, copper, lead, mercury and others.
These bottles are amazing. I never knew it was this easy to make a small difference. The filtering bottle is great because when I'm out, or at school, I do NOT trust the water from the drinking fountains. My baby sister and brother love the smaller bottle, it has a cute whale in the ocean with a frog on it and it has an umbrella, how cute! The bottles have a clean sleek look, the rim doesn't look rusty like other bottles I've seen. They also come with a strap to put on your shoulders, or simply wrap around your hand; and a handy little Carabineer Clip. Thanks to EcoUsable for the opportunity to review their great products. I've very content with these bottles and their amazing quality.
