Taco Bell: Free Two Doritos Locos Tacos & Large Drink wyb $20 Gift Card.

If you're someone on a budget, it's no surprise that "free" is always a good thing to hear. So many stores and restaurants like to give incentives during the Holiday Season to gift givers. Gift cards are sometimes the best and safest route to go when it comes to gift giving. On that note, thanks to the great people over at Taco Bell, I have a great promotion to share with you guys!

Taco Bell has a great promotion for you gift givers (whether it be to yourself, or others)! When you buy a $20 Taco Bell Gift Card, you get two free Doritos Locos Tacos (DLTs) and a large drink. This is available at time of purchase, meaning in store. Now, that's around a $5 value, which you can devour yourself while thinking of others. Now, if that's not rewarding, I don't know what is!

I am a huge Taco Bell fan but had yet to try the Doritos Locos Tacos. I got around to trying the Doritos Locos Taco in Cool Ranch (also comes in Nacho Cheese and Fiery flavors) yesterday using the gift card Taco Bell generously sent over for this purpose :) I was skeptical, even with the Cool Ranch being my favorite flavor of Doritos. Once I took the bite, it was gone within the minute, which is unfortunate because I missed out on taking a great little picture for you folks! Best $1.39 you'll spend there, hands down.

The two free Doritos Locos Tacos (DLTs) and a large drink with $20 Gift Card purchase at Taco Bell ends on December 25th, 2013. So hurry and treat others while treating yourself this holiday season!

What Type Of Face Wash Do You Use?

Ladies, we're taught to wash our face before we go to sleep to remove all the dirt, make up on it. This is good advice, but no one ever told me what to wash it with. When I was younger I used soap, and that is, by far, the worst thing to wash your face with. It dries it up and my skin felt extremely tight when dry. Horrible. Up until a couple years ago, at around 18, that I started experimenting with different types of face wash.

I tried face wash in many different varieties; foam, cream, scrub, etc. I use to buy tubes in the travel products aisle at my store and test them out for a couple of days. The foam-type face wash was useless. In my opinion, they feel so light that you don't feel like you're getting a cleaning at all. Cream face wash felt heavy while washing my face. I do not like it, but the ones with exfoliating beads are a bit better. Scrubs are my type of face wash. I love exfoliating scrubs because you can feel the gritty texture and you know its scrubbing off the dirt, make-up and dead skin cells.

My face is acne-free, with the exception of some blemishes and random small breakouts. My sin is combination dry/oily so it was difficult finding one that worked well. I now use Aveeno's Skin Brightening Daily Scrub and it does wonders. I follow it up with some Sin lightning face lotion at night and my skin looks wonderful. This and plenty of water works wonders. Anyone go through what I did to find a face wash that worked for you?

Kool-Aid's "Noches de PeliKoola" + Coupon!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kool Aid for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
If any of you are or have kids who are fans of Koolaid, head on over to the Kool-Aid Facebook fan page and click the tab that reads "Noches de PeliKoola" for your coupon! For those of you who don't know Spanish, click the button with the money sign ($) that reads "Quiero Mi Cupรณn" (I Want My Coupon) :) Who says you can't learn something new everyday? You can also visit the "Bingo Card" feature on the same tab, each card has a tasty Kool-Aid recipe to try! These are fun to use while watching "Noches de Pelicula" on Telemundo with the family. Don't forget to check out Kool-Aid for some amazing recipes. I am definitely going to try the Super Fruity Kool Kubes, and Double-Berry Smoothie, yum!

We are big fans of Kool-Aid in our house. We all seem to have a favorite flavor, I love grape, my younger siblings enjoy Tropical Punch. With the choices of single packets, canisters, on-to-go singles and the many others, we all can agree on the Kool-Aid Jammers. They are the best, Strawberry Kiwi is what we stock up on! We love Kool-Aid so much that we actually took 10 canisters and a couple boxes of the Jammers on our last trip to Nicaragua. It was a great idea because they are very inexpensive and it was a great way to cut costs on buying soda out there. Its also great hearing my siblings talk about how much fun they had at the beach, lagoon, island, volcano with their Kool-Aid drinks. I specifically remember our 3-hour trip to one of the beaches over there and my sister wondering who hid her Kool-Aid while she took a nap. Kids are so funny!

Do you have any fun family, childhood or other memories about Kool-Aid?

My Addiction To My iPhone 4 Needs A Solar Powered Charger!

I came to the conclusion that I was addicted to "staying powered up" a long long time ago. Its so bad that I sleep with my cell phone on my bed next to me. My cell phone never gets turned off, I don't even turn off my desktop or laptop (they go on hibernate) and there have been instances where I have almost forgotten my bag, but have never forgotten my cell phone. Go Figure!

Being for addicted to my electronics makes it difficult when I'm out and about about because at times I'm not around a readily available outlet where I can charge my iPhone. These moments sometimes spark a bit of desperation and leads me to shut down any apps I may have running, WiFi and other energy-consuming things in order to save battery in case I need it for emergency calls. Now, my last phone, an HTC, had a universal mini-USB which made it easy to buy portable chargers to use for it. I also had other electronics with a mini-USB that used the same portable charger. I later upgraded to a solar power charger which made my life a bit easier.

Finding a portable solar battery charger for my iPhone 4 will be my next step. I loved the old one I used for my HTC a lot. Its very eco-friendly and provided me with FREE power for my phone, and all in a neat portable product! Nothing beats that. So it looks like my addiction to staying powered up will not change any time soon! lol.

My Horrible Moving Experience, Two Years Later + Tips!

Learning things the hard way is not always the best way, and it can create a LOT of stress. After living at our last residence for about 10 years, or half of my life better said, we moved over 40 miles away. Long distance moving might not as difficult as moving to another state, but it was still a big move that would've required a lot of planning. Unfortunately, we made many mistakes that made our move very stressful and they are things you should definitely avoid. So here are a couple tips to help you out.

Pre-pack - Its simple. If you have things in your house you know you won't be using any time soon, start packing it as early as 2 months beforehand. If you're low on help you definitely need to start asap in order to not have everything done last minute. Many of us have items in closets the garage or basement that we haven't used in years so to have them packed up and ready to go long before is ideal.

Cleaning - As mentioned before, we all have items we haven't used in years stored all over our house, with that comes junk we won't need or want at our new place. Cleaning out and packing gets rid of unneeded junk and lets you get a little better organized. As for big seasonal blankets and clothing, its best to wash it all before getting to your new place. There is no fun moving to a new house only to unpack dirty stinky stuff.

Get Help - By cleaning and prepacking you should have a reasonable amount done within two weeks of your move. Make sure you get friends and family to help you out. Make sure you also reward them with some pizza or Chinese at your new place. Maybe them can stay longer and even help you paint!

These are simple tips, that although we have heard, we seem to ignore. We made the mistake of not cleaning blankets and clothing before arriving at our new house and with unpacking, going around the city finding out where to go to turn our water and electricity on, it made things stressful. I managed to pre-pack maybe 2 boxes of only my things about a month in advance. This was no help though, as we had a house with 6 people to move, not just me. It was a horrible experience having to fill tons of boxes a mere two weeks before moving. Also, for a reason I can't recall, we had absolutely no help moving. So I was stuck helping my dad lift couches, heavy TVs, extremely heavy dressers and other things by myself down a flight of stairs to the moving truck. I was also the only one helping him move it inside our new house. All the yelling, being unprepared and being hurried stressed me out and made my moving experience horrible. Its something I NEVER want to go through again, and if forced to, I am protesting to get paid help. It made me hate packing, and let just say that we still have a good amount of boxes in the garage that we have not opened... 2 years later.

Women's Sweaters For The Fall Season

I love fall, so its no surprise I can't wait for it to begin. Along with that, I love shopping for women's sweaters. I love them so much that I even wear them in triple-digit weather! I know, its crazy! I have a couple tips to buying sweaters that I use when I go shopping:

Don't worry about the price - I know, it defeats the purpose of saving money BUT I save money on groceries, toilettries and other items so I can buy the better things in life. When shopping for a sweater, I do limit how much I want to spend on one, but I ultimately buy one that I like regardless of if I have a coupons or not.

Coupons and sales - Many stores have special online codes for money off, free shipping, or coupons to use in-store. Take advantage of them. Why? because you can get a sweater you want and still save.

Its ok to spoil yourself here and there when you spend so much time saving. There are many things we go all out for. I, myself, spoil myself with techy-gadgets, electronics, anything Tokidoki, shoes, clothes and a good expensive dinner once in a while. These are luxuries I spend time saving for. And believe me, when I spot a beautiful cardigan like this Best Vest Cardi in moon mist, I grab it! So, when you go out and shop for some wonderful sweaters for this Fall season, remember to look for sales and coupons and let yourself be spoiled. :)

How I Keep My Skin GREAT During Summer :)

How do I keep my skin refreshed and soft during this harsh triple-digit Summer weather in Los Angeles? I'm sure everyone thinks it involves expensive spa treatments and things of that nature, but it doesn't. For me its as simple as drinking a lot of water (staying very hydrated), washing my face every morning and night and putting lotion on. No, I don't have a "magic cure", I do whats best for me and it seems to work very well. When I wash my face during the day and night, I make sure to use a brightening skin scrub, as the sun tends to shine down hard on it while I'm out and about. As a Latina, I don't have "glowing tan skin", I'm actually very light, and I prefer to keep it that way so using the brightening scrub helps my face from any damage the sun might do.

Also, since the sun is so strong this time around, I ALWAYS use lotion with at least 50 SPF. There is no way I would go out without it. Aside from doing its usual job, it helps fight off damaging sun rays. This is a must to keep in your bag at all times. Putting on lotion after you wash you face at night and before going to sleep is a must! There are many night-time lotions available too.

Water is the main source for me. Sure, I'll drink some flavored waters too, but the majority on my water intake is plain (iced). Drinking a lot of water to keep you skin refreshed and hydrated is not a myth! When you don't have enough water, your skin drys and is less resilient, and wrinkles is a sign of this. In all my 22 years of life, I have not squired a single wrinkle in my face, as I have many friends my age or younger who already do. I have followed these simple steps since my early teens and they have paid off. However, its never too late to start taking care of you and your skin, so follow these 3 simple rules to keep your skin soft, refreshed and hydrated:
  1. Drink your water!
  2. Wash your face and use lotion, both day and night.
  3. Never go out in the harsh sun without an SPF lotion.
These are tips I will never forget, however, forgetting who told them to me is another story :) These tips works great during the harsh Summer heat, but I also do like to experiment and try new products. I have seen commercials for the Neutrogena Wave and have been dying to try it. You can learn more about Neutrogena Wave products here. Anything that makes my skin rituals better is always welcomed in my opinion!
