My 7/28 Target TOY Shopping Round-Up + PICS [Saved 77% - OVER $800]

(Click To View Pictures In Full Size)

Target's toy clearance shopping went great! The kids in Nicaragua will surely have a great Christmas this year, as 95% of these toys will be going to them. I couldn't resist buying some cute toys for my little sister and brother. There were tons of toys marked at 75% when we got there a 10am, and many others not marked, but thankfully we made the price scanner our friend. There were also some toys that were still at 50%. We went to 3 different stores, but only bought toys at 2 because one of the stores was only at 30%. I must say, this is our biggest haul, and all without a single coupon! I'm glad to see so many quality toys, as the kids in Nicaragua will surely be content with super soakers, Bratz dolls, Legos, Bakugan, Star Wars toys and more. We still have a lot of toys to buy to fill up the box we will be taking with us, but these toys were definitely a great find. In total, we bought 66 toys at 2 stores and saved over $800, our trip:

College is expensive, everything add ups and burns a whole in your pocket. Tuition, classes, room and board and many other factors contribute to expenses. Thankfully, there have been so many ways to cut costs on college textbooks, which can be a hefty investment if you don't take time and research what options you have available. Sure, we've all considered selling and buying our textbooks on the obvious Craigslist and Ebay, but I find both options to be a huge hassle and I don't enjoy having to meet strangers from Craiglist to sell some old textbooks.

CampusBookRentals.com has aimed to make it easier for us budget-friendly college students by offering some of their great services. What can you do on CampusBookRentals website? You can rent college textbooks at great affordable prices and sell your old textbooks for some cash.

Why is it better to rent your college textbooks? Simple, because you won't really need them after your class is over, so it makes sense to save 50% - 80%  renting your textbook, as opposed to buying it. CampusBookRentals has thousands of college textbooks available for rent for just about any class you take. College students can enjoy FREE SHIPPING both ways, as they provide a pre-paid UPS shipping label and envelope for you to send your book back. CampusBookRentals also buys your textbooks and they pay you directly, in your choice of a check, PayPal or an Amazon gift card.

Failed your class? You can re-rent your book for 30% off less than the original renting price. Even if you decide to keep your book, you can simply pay the difference to own it. With a 30-day risk free guarantee, you can return your book for a full refund for whatever reason. CampusBookRentals also allows highlighting on their rental textbooks, so you can use it to your liking without having to worry to pay extra like other sites require.

Whats better than saving money? Helping others WHILE you save money. CampusBookRentals donates a portion of the proceed from EVERY book rented on their site to Operation Smile. GIVEAWAY - KungFu Panda Lunch Kit & Rectangular Keeper

Back to school is almost here. This year, my little brother will be entering 4th grade, and my sister will be starting school for the first time. She will be going to Kindergarten and couldn't be more exited. She is already stocking up her little supplies box with cheap glue, crayons, pencils and more! A tip she has learned from her older sister :) Back to school is exiting, as there are always such great deals at various stores. There are also so many useful products on sale that kids will love. Products like what? Like Tupperware, for one. Tupperware is a household name for kitchen storage products but I was surprised to find out they have a whole range of products from storage to preparation, including cool little gadgets like empanada makers. I was contacted by Tupperware and was offered to review three great products, the Kung Fu Panda Lunch Kit and a Rectangular Keeper.

The Kung Fu Panda Lunch Kit ($18 ARV) included a Sandwhich Keeper and 16oz. Tumbler. Both of these products were immediately hijacked by both my little brother and sister. They took a really big liking to both of them and couldn't decide who would be the one to keep it and use it for school. Ultimately, since my little sister will be starting kindergarten and we don't know if she might eat the food there, its safer for us to send her off with something from home she WILL eat. Both the sandwich keeper and tumbler are built to last, as they has seen quite a big of falls during the last weeks. The sandwich keeper has a very handy hinge that keeps it shut quite well. The tumbler is a great size, at 16oz. it holds their juice well with the flip-top spout. We are very uneasy about having her carry the tumbler in her backpack though, but the tumbler's spout has not failed us yet :)
The Rectangular Keeper ($15 ARV) was just adorable! It comes in a Hot Pepper color and was equally loved by both my siblings. It is extremely sturdy, the hinge is easy for my 5 y/o sister to open without a problem. It came with a cute sticker she used on the top, along with her Tinkerbell stickers. I like that the box has a lot of space, 1.2-liter capacity, for her essentials. Glue stick, pencils, sharpener and crayons fit well with space left over for more. With the weight of everything that goes in, I'm glad the rectangular box doesn't weight a lot all by itself.

A huge thanks to Tupperware for the opportunity to review these great products. They have been generous enough to provide 1 lucky winner the chance to win all three products for our Back To School Giveaway Bash!

Siberian Huskies & Their Brotherly Affection

My furry babies are silly! I don't know why they act like they don't love each other sometimes, lol. I caught them showing some brotherly affection :) In all truth, they can't stay away from each other. I try to take a picture of one alone, the other has to come by and bomb the photo. Both my boys are Siberian Huskies (the lighter colored one is mixed with German Shepherd) and they both adore howling along with the train and police and ambulance sirens. They are ALWAYS together, its hard to take one on a walk alone because the other will whine so loud you can hear it 3 blocks down, that is no over exaggeration either.

When I first got my younger puppy (he is at 5 months old in the picture) I was worried my older dog wouldn't like him and they wouldn't get along, but I'm glad they do. They love each other as if they were blood brothers, such cuties. You can't imagine how many compliments they get, they are the hunks of the neighborhood lol. Time flies by too fast, I miss when I got to hold my puppy and sleep with him on the couch AND when he still looked like this:

My furry babies are just too cute! :) My 3rd furry baby is an indoor dog, so she is spoiled!

Frugal Tips From College Lips! Tip #107

Frugal Tips College Lips
Are you a College Student? Are you (nearly) broke? The cost of going to College burns a hole in your pocket most of the time. Thankfully other college students have many frugal tips to share and help you save money! This next tip comes Brittaney (@SavingMoney90):

That is a GREAT tip! With gym memberships being so expensive (around $250 a year), why not take advantage of FREE equipment on campus? Its a great way to spend time with friends who don't feel like paying over $200 in gym membership fees to go work out with you. Hey, maybe you'll find a cute guy there too :) Also, many colleges have FREE student activities and events, including concerts, so keep an eye out for flyers and announcements. I'm surprised a couple buddies of mine had no idea about that and they live on campus.

Are you a College Student with frugal tips you'd like to submit? Use the contact form. If you have a blog of your own, please send along the link so we can link to you if we choose to post your tip. :)

My Nutrisystem Weekly Weigh-In (Week #13) #NSNation

This is my 13th week on the Nutrisystem program. I have now been on the Nutrisystem program for over three months and have lost 25 lbs. Its been a journey, but I've learned a lot. I have strayed the last month due to stress and other problems. I finally got on track this week but my weight loss for this week doesn't reflect that. Why? Maybe its the extra water weight us women hold during that time of the month. Maybe its because my body is getting accustomed to healthy food again. Who knows! I just know that I feel better and don't have that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach after consuming the bad foods from last month.
Its quite funny how stress made me crave the not-healthy foods. And, after eating the bad food, I felt terrible. Its as if I can't eat and enjoy them anymore. When I did I felt the difference, they made me feel super full and sluggish. Feeling out of energy the moment you wake up is horrible.

This weeks weight-loss was ok, as I'm currently building up my good habits again.  I can't wait to keep pushing myself and lose more weight. I need to get into my exercise again like before! I have made a personal goal to lose a minimum of 10lbs. a month over the next 1 month I have left. :) Don't forget to Check out my entire Nutrisystem Journey, my photos on Flickr or my videos on YouTube! Now its time, my weight loss for the 12th week on Nutrisystem:
