Pet Treats & Food; Stock It Up!

If you have pets, you probably buy pet food in bulk. But, when its gone, and you can't go out and buy some right that minute (or even week), its a problem. This has happened to me a couple times already. I don't like to feed them "human" food (raw meat and dry & wet dog food only). I have 3 dogs and i'm super busy. I use to buy in bulk and when it was gone, I was stuck feeding them what i didn't want to. I had absolutely NO time to go buy any food for them.

At the end of last year, when i really started getting into couponing, i thought about stocking up pet treats and dog food for them. Great pet deals & coupons come and go and I've been planning to stockpile for them. Its a wonderful thing to have food and treats available for them when they run out and you're busy. So, if any of you have a similar problem, stockpile! So far, we have 14 Purina One 6oz Bags, 13 Cesar Treats, 2 Bags of Dentastix, Might Dog & Pedigree Wet Food, and a whole bunch of other dog food treats plus the main 60lb bag of dry dog food.

There are great Cesar Treats that will be FREE after coupons, and my adorable doggies love them! If you don't have both coupons to stack, you can try looking into any clipping service or ebay.
Here are other great Stockpiling deals for Dogs this week:

Cesar Treats $2.99 (Regular Price at Target)
-Use $1/1 Cesar Treats (x8/30) Target Coupon from 5/16 SS
-Pair with $2/1 Cesar Treats Manufacturer Coupon from 8/8 RP
Total: FREE

Purina One Dog Food (6oz. Bag)
-$Free (1)  6oz. Package of Purina One Brand Dry Dog or Cat Food Coupon from 8/15 SS
Total: FREE *There will also be a $2/1 Purina One Dog or Cat Food coupon in the 8/15 SS that states, "any size/variety". Meaning, you can use them for the 6oz. Bag too! Other stores that carry this size bag are Walgreens, Walmart and Petsmart.

These are great stockpiling items :) All 3 of my doggies love them, so I'm sure your dogs would too :). P.S. Isn't he absolutely gorgeous? He is one handsome Siberian Husky!

My 8/14 Target Shopping Round-Up (Saved 96%)

Great savings on this trip, just a couple pet necessities. My younger sister made this trip. She is starting to clip coupons, understand how they work, and use them.. at 17 years old. :) Next thing you know, she will be coming to ME with deals she finds, lol. Bagel Bites and Totinos pizza are not pictured, they went straight to the oven lol! Heres the trip:

Review - Ayala's Herbal Water

Recently, I've decided to try and develop healthier eating habits. I've come across a few blogs which have motivated me a bit to get started. One tip that has stuck with me is "don't eat your calories". I never cared to look at the nutritional label on my drinks, but now am horrified. Thanks to Paige over at Ayala's Herbal Water, i was sent 6 16oz. bottles, after I contacted them. Ayala's Herbal Water are USDA certified Organic. They contain all natural ingredients, they have zero calories, zero artificial sweeteners, flavors, and colors, and zero chemical preservatives. They are great for those trying to not eat their calories :)

Fall Semester Is Right Around The Corner!

The Fall Semester is right around the corner. I must say, with my school, the blog, and work, I'm going to have my hands full. However, i secretly, and genuinely, love staying busy. I find it motivates me to do my best and get it done fast. I'm looking forward to this semester, I never though I would miss school this much when i was attending High School :) I took the Summer semester off, I needed a break. So, I'm going into my 3rd semester with Anthropology (focusing of Archeology). I also decided to take an online Sociology class, I hope it goes well. If not, maybe an "easy" button will make everything better! lol

I don't know anyone that still buys their textbooks from their College Book Store. The prices are ridiculous for a book that you're only going to use for a single class. I buy my books online and sell them when my class is done. Depending on the price you get the book for, you might be able to make a small profit when selling it. I said small, don't go overboard!

While searching online, i came across Chegg.com. Its a site where you can "rent" textbooks and return them when done. They are also eco-friendly; for every textbook that is rented out, they plant a tree (and, i'm a tree lover, remember my BOGO tree buys?). So far, they've planted over 4,000 acres, which is the equivalent of 2,000 city blocks. Thats pretty impressive. With a "30-day Any Reason" Guarantee I'm looking into trying this. Anyone have experience with Chegg? I'd love to know :)

Review - SodaStream

SodaStream was one of the products I was ecstatic about trying. I had seen it on other blogs wondering, how well  does it work? Well, thanks to Jenna over at SodaStream I was sent a SodaStream to review. Along with the SodaStream machine I received 9 SodaMix flavors and 3 Flavor Essence bottles. The flavors i received were: Cola, Diet Cola, Diet Cream Soda, Diet Lemon-Lime, Diet Pink Grapefruit, Lemonade, Root Beer Orange-Mango and Energy. The Flavor Essences i received were Orange, Berry and Lemon-Lime.

With the SodaStream Machine came the Carbon Dioxide tank, 2 reusable 1-liter bottles and, as mentioned above, the flavors. It was very easy to set up, it took just a couple of seconds to screw in the Carbon Dioxide tank to the back of the machine. I filled up one of the bottles with filtered water from the fridge, screwed in in to the machine and pressed the carbonation button. I held it down until i heard the "pop", and i added a little more :)

Everyone agreed to try the Diet Pink Graprefruit mix first, so we added it slowly to the bottle and mixed it. It tasted wonderful! I'm not a "diet soda" drinker, but they sure are great!  So, being me, i opened up each SodaMix, stuck my finger in, and tasted them all before I added them to the carbonated water. All of them had a strong smell and great concentrated taste. I must admit, when I opened the "Enegry" SodaMix I almost creid. lol. It smelled and tasted just like the Monster Energy Drink, and i LOVE Monster.

The machine is extremely easy to set up and use. This is certainly going to be used regularly. We have been making at least two bottles a day. I keep forgetting to chill the water first though. Now, on to looks. I love the look of the SodaStream machine on the counter top, its very sleek and modern. Something you definitely will end up showing off to everyone. The reusable 1-liter bottles are adorable! They have the logo and cute bubbles :) I love making sparkling water, adding the berry flavor essence, and taking it with me when i go walk the dogs!

According to the SodaStream website, Each bottle of concentrated SodaMix contains enough syrup to make about 12 liters or 33 cans of fresh, delicious soda. No high-fructose corn syrup in regular flavors. No aspartame in diet flavors. They all are low in calories too. Overall, this product is great, the whole family loves it and it won't go more than 12-hours without being used. I'm extremely thankful for being able to review it. The only down-part is that it gradually losses its fizz, not dramatically though. If you're thinking about buying one, I can honestly say "go for it". I'm very happy!

Disclaimer: I was NOT paid for this post, however I did receive the product in question to review. All opinions are my own and I have provided a fair and honest review. I received no other compensation for my review nor was I under any obligation to give a positive review.

CSN Stores - Upcoming Review

I was contacted about a month ago from CSN. I was given the opportunity to browse their 200+ stores and choose something to review. CSN sells everything from luggage, to solar outdoor lighting, to pet beds. You can literally spend hours searching and finding new things to fall in love with. While searching i found one of the most beautiful "play house" I've seen; Its a Victorian Mansion and it is HUGE:

We never had play houses like this when I was young! lol. CSN also has stores for a particular category, some for example are briefcases and even espresso machines. With options like that, you know you can find just about anything via CSN.

I will be reviewing... an item that your "best friend" would love. You have to check up often and come by to see what I'll be reviewing. Thanks to CSN for this opportunity!

Review - Zevia Natural Diet Soda

Would you like to find a new diet soda thats all-natural with 0 calories? Try Zevia!

Thanks to Margaret over at Zevia, i was sent a 6-pk of Zevia when I contacted them for a review. Zevia is a Natural Diet Soda. Among some of its natural flavors are ginger root extract (found in all flavors), which is known to help alleviate nausea; and stevia, which is a natural sweetener and makes it a great substitute for those with Diabetes.
In total, Zevia has 7 flavors: Natural Cola, Root Beer, Orange, Black Cherry, Dr. Zevia, Ginger Ale and Lemon Twist. I received all but Orange. All of the sodas were very tasty and had great flavor, except for the Root Beer (In general, I'm just not a fan of it). They all tasted like they had a lot of carbonation, and i just love extra fizz! My favorite, by far, was Black Cherry. Overall, i absolutely love these! I'm not a diet soda drinker, but Zevia has changed my mind.

If you're interested in buying and trying Zevia, you can go to their website to buy online or check what local stores carry it.

Review - Hard Candy

If you're a regular visitor or reader on my blog, you will notice I ALWAYS talk about how I love cute packaging. I think its crucial to a product. If a products packaging appeals to me, I tend to buy it :) Thanks to Kristi over at Hard Candy, I was sent some samples to review when I contacted them. I have purchased Hard Candy in the past, I love the fact that their make-up line is very affordable. Thats always great for us College students out there looking for good quality and reasonable prices. They carry everything from Eye Shadows to Nail Polish.

I was sent the Meteor Eyes Baked Glitter Eyeshadow in Supernova (a beautiful Purple),  So-Baked Bronzer in Tropics and a Plumping Lip Gloss in Uptown Girl. I have to say, my favorite out of all three was the Eyeshadow. I love the color, it is an amazingly bold Purple, which just happens to be my 2nd favorite color :) I took a picture of my eye with some black eyeliner and the Supernova eyeshadow. It makes my eye pop, its a wonderful product. So light, sparkly & fun; day OR night.

The Lip Plumping Gloss was very nice too, it doesn't have that sticky feeling like a lot of other glosses do. I just LOVE the tingling feeling it gives me when i wear it. It does plump my lips a nice amount, doesn't over do it. The one thing I enjoy most is that it dries a nice light pink on my lips and doesn't make my lips feel dry. The So-Baked bronzer was cute. Unfortunately, it was too dark for my taste. Even though i am from Sunny Los Angeles, I prefer the nice pale look with dramatic eyes :) So blush or bronzers don't have a place in my bag lol. My sister took over the bronzer and loves it.

One more fun thing, the bronzer and eyeshadow have a nice matte finish and you can put them on wet or dry. I prefer wet for a more intense color. All three of these samples I was sent range from $6 to $9. Hard Candy cosmetics are among my favorite make-up brand and they just launched a new line which is available exclusively at Walmart stores, and Walmart.com. So if you're looking to buy, check them out. Thanks for the samples Hard Candy!
