Online Shopping & Saving Money With Bing Rewards

Thank you to BING for sponsoring my writing today. To learn more about BING Shopping Rewards, click here. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.
I just recently got an email from Ebay telling me I had been shopping with them for 7 years. Apparently I was shopping online since I was 15 years old. I never kept track of the time so this came as a shock to me. Seven years is a long time but online shopping has been around a lot longer than I've been shopping online. I can safely say that it has changed a TON over my past 7 years of experience. There are now sites that give you cash back when you buy online, points you can redeem for gift card when you buy online, online coupons and discounts and so much more. It is all very convenient to use and helps you save money in all different kinds of ways.

I was happy to find out about the Bing Rewards Preview Program. I'm sure you've all heard of Bing.com, the search engine, but apparently they have a new Rewards Program to help you earn credits to use towards gift cards, merchandise and even donate. Unlike other rewards programs that let you earn credits to use towards things like gift cards, Bing Rewards does not require you to buy a product for you to earn credits. Bing Rewards is quite great, to earn credits all you have to do is search for products via Bing (and explore other features of the website). Your credits then add up and you get to redeem them.

When I heard about the Bing Rewards Preview Program from CleverGirls I headed right on to http://www.bing.com/rewards to sign up and register. New members get 250 credits upon registration. The process is quite easy, I enter what I'm looking for on Bing and get random offers to earn x amount of credits when you click on them (on the right hand side of the search page). Also, you earn 1 credit per 5 Bing searches (daily, until June 4th). The service is quite easy to use but in my opinion still lacks ways to earn credits. The Bing Rewards Preview Program is just that, a preview program, so hopefully they will take my suggestion and come out with more if the program decides to come back permanently.

I love shopping, I just don't enjoy having to go to 5 different stores just to compare prices or get good deals. Thankfully the majority of stores offer online shopping that makes it convenient for everyone who is short on free time to shop. Loading up my computer (or even phone) and using a combination of services like ebates and online coupons for the best savings is no hassle. No more having to wake up early weekend mornings to go shipping. The internet and online shopping is something that was much needed and will only improve with time.

Fun ShopKick App for iPhone and Android Phones. Earn GiftCards!

I just read about ShopKick app for iPhone Android devices and thought it would be fun to do a little slideshow of the app. I am still quite new to using my iPhone 4 (I'm a Windows Mobile type of girl!). I went to the AppStore via my iPhone and downloaded the "ShopKick" app. It is FREE.

ShopKick is a fun interactive-looking app that allows you to earn  "kick bucks" when you're at select stores, Target (my favorite) being one of them. You earn 60 kicks bucks when you walk into Target stores (kick bucks earned for ealking into other stores vary). The app also allows you to scan the barcodes of certain products in the stores to earn more kick bucks. You can then redeem your kick bucks for gift card to stores like Target, The Home Depot, iTunes, etc. See my fun slide show below :)

Use code "RABBIT7476" to earn an extra 50 kick bucks! To redeem this code and your kick bucks, download the ShopKick app and go to the "Me" tab on the app to enter the code under "Got A Promo Code?" :)

Thanks TotallyTarget, for bringing this app to my attention!

Good-Bye Johnny - Your Flash Brought Sunshine To My Life!

What is that? You don't know? Its my DEAD camera. Unfortunately it met its demise on Friday last week and I  felt it needed a good-bye post. I remember I saved up about $120.00 for this camera, I even survived the usual Black Friday crowd to get it about 5 years ago. It was a cute white Kodak v1003 10mp camera, not the greatest quality pictures, but it made me happy. Its home was in my bag, along with my wallet, coupon filer, make-up, phone and other miscellaneous things.

I named my camera Johnny, I have a tendency to name things I use very commonly. Johnny was dropped by a fellow classmate of mine, who decided to put the blame on me. I don't quite understand how someone who is all he way across the room can be blamed. Unbelievable. He decided not to pay for the damages so I am left camera-less. I guess for now all my pictures will have to be taken on my iPhone 4. I might just look for my older 5mp Kodak camera, its ancient and has very low resolution, but until I can afford to save up and buy a new one, it will have to do :(

R.I.P Johnny, we traveled across the world together (okay, we only traveled a little under 3,100 miles out of the county). You allowed us to keep photographic memories of my friends and family for 5 years and I thank you! You will be missed :(

My Nutrisystem Weekly Weigh-In (Week #3)

Its been three weeks, I'm just surprised as you! This week went by just as fast as last week. My Nutrisystem journey has been going well. I've also continually been reading up on healthy eating and exercising. Apparently to burn 1lb. of fat you have to burn 3,500 calories. That is a lot. I've been burning about 500-700 calories a day exercising and by eating no more than 1,300 calories, I have a deficit of around 1,000 calories a day, meaning I should essentially lose at least 2.5lb - 3lb each week. Thats about 10lb. a month, which is a great realistic weight to lose over a months time. No one said losing weight is easy! :)

This 3rd week was pretty hard, food wise. Since it is still my first month, I have already gone through the foods I like and am left with food I don't quite like. This week I tried the frozen Chicken Alfredo and disliked it very much. I love the tomato-based pastas on Nutrisystem, but can't stand the cream-based ones. The only other new food I tried this week was the dessert peppermint patty. It was delicious, I love anything mint. It was so delicious it made me feel a little guilty eating it. As for exercise, I have been getting my daily exercise in, have boosted it from 200 to at least 500 calories a day. I spend a good hour every day exercise with the EA Sports Active 2 game for the XBOX 360 Kinect (review coming later this week). I love the game, I got it Thursday the 28th and have burned over 5,500 calories already.

Mentally, I've been keeping with the Nutrisystem program quite well. As I mentioned before, Nutrisystem, to me, is meant to teach how much you should eat and portion control. We don't need too much food to fuction regularly and eat healthy. This week I did have a slice of pizza, approx. 238 calories. I only had one, and substituted my dinner for it. When I am no longer on Nutrisystem, I will have to make my own food and continue portion control. I see no problem with eating one slice this past week because eating healthy is a lifestyle change, and food that is "not good for you" is part of mine. I have controlled my eating out of the program, if I wasn't trying to lose weight, I would easily scarf down over 5-6 slices in a day but am proud that I now have control and chose to eat better. I don't believe shunning myself from foods I enjoy is right, even if they are high in calories so controlling HOW MUCH of it I eat is my main goal. I can't wait to keep pushing myself and lose more weight. I have now made a personal goal to lose a minimum of 10lbs. a month over the next 3 months I have left. :) I'm exited that I have rightfully earned my 1st Nutribear, pound!Don't forget to Check out my entire Nutrisystem Journey and photos on Flickr! Now its time, my weight loss for my 2nd week on NutriSystem:

Weight Loss:
-6.2 lbs.[5/1/11]
-3.1 lbs.[5/8/11]
-2.6 lbs.[5/15/11]
Total: 11.9 lbs.
