I just came across an Ad in the Sunday paper from September 19th. Its an full page dedicated to making the Bacon Wrapped Hot Dogs the OFFICIAL hot dog of Los Angeles. It was accompanied by a coupon ($2 wyb (1) package of Farmer John Hot Dogs and (1) of Farmer John Bacon x10/24).
If you're from Los Angeles or even if you've been to downtown (especially the Santee Alley) you have smelled them from blocks away. They truly are delicious! You'll find them alongside any of those taco vendors on the streets or the taco trucks. L.A. doesn't have an official hot dog :(
For every vote these scrumptious dogs get to be L.A's official hot dog, Farmer John will donate one pound of food—up to 25,000 pounds—to local food banks, including the Union Rescue Mission Food Bank in downtown Los Angeles. So far, they have 15,898 votes and it ends on November 2nd.
So get to voting! Us Angelinos need an official hot dog and you'll help a great cause!
