GIVEAWAY - Thai Kitchen & La Tortilla Factory

Thai Kitchen Products
I'm a huge fan of Asian foods, let it be Thai, Chinese, Cambodian, etc. I think my favorite Asian (-American) dish is orange chicken and others with sweet & sour or hot and spicy sauces drizzled on top. Its no surprise, I love my sauce so getting the chance to review Thai Kitchen's line of all-purpose dipping sauces was exiting! I received Pineapple & Chili, Thai Chili & Ginger and Spicy Thai Mango. These sauces are all-purpose and dipping sauces that go GREAT with chicken! We make some homemade baked crispy chicken strips that went great with the Spicy Thai Mango sauce, it was a great balance of sweet and spicy. The Pineapple & Chili was phenomenal with a beef stir fry I made. The Chili & Ginger sauce was the odd ball out, I'm not sure what it was that made me dislike it. The ginger might be to blame, I'm not a huge fan of ginger, but the spice in the sauce was great. Thai food is known for their spicy and sweet foods, and these sauces do it justice. Thai Kitchen products include an array of rice noodles, take-out meals, canned soups and more!

La Tortilla Factory was a brand I had never heard about previously, but am happy I got the opportunity to try! I received the Hand Made Style Corn Tortillas and the Smart & Delicious 100 Calorie 100% Whole Wheat Tortillas to review. I must say, the 100 calorie tortillas are huge, and great with 8g of fiber each. I regularly buy flour tortillas, smaller in size, that are much higher in calories so I'm glad I was introduced to the Smart & Delicious tortillas. I'm very bland when it comes to tortillas, they are not a big staple in our homeland's cuisine whatsoever. I usually just use them to make a quick quesadilla with pepperjack and/or cheese and chicken. This time around, i made my usual "breakfast burrito" with 1 egg, 1 Oscar Mayer wiener, fat free Kraft American cheese, light sour cream and hot sauce. With all the ingredients ready to go inside, I could of doubled the ingredients and still have a lot of room in there. They really are big. The tortilla itself heats up nice and soft and doesn't have a strong flavor.

I have never seen any sweet recipes use tortillas, but I imagine since the 100 calorie tortillas don't have a strong taste, it might make sense. The Hand Made Style Corn Tortillas were also good, these did taste like a good corn tortilla you would get at a mom and pop type restaurant. Its great by itself accompanied by black beans and rice. Overall, I enjoyed the products I got the opportunity to review. A huge thanks to Thai Kitchen and La Tortilla Factory for the opportunity to try their products. I'm so glad I get to share with one lucky reader too! :)
