Living in Los Angeles, its impossible not to see Jarritos Soda alongside Sprite, Pepsi and other drinks in every liquor store you tend to walk in. Jarritos is a Mexican drink that has been around since the 50s. It hard to not spot those colorful glass bottles. I was contacted by Jarritos, and thanks to Caitlin, i was sent some to review.
I received all of Jarritos 11 flavors; Toronja (Grapefruit), Limon (Lemon), Lima-Limon (Lemon Lime), Fresa (Strawberry), Tamarindo (Tamarind), Mandarina (Mandarin), Pina (Pineapple), Tutifruiti (Fruit Punch), Jamaica (Hibiscus) Mango and Guayaba (Guava).
Jarritos now makes their drinks with 100% Natural Sugar, that means no high fructose corn syrup. They also contain less carbonation than other popular American soft drinks.
Both the Lime and Lemon Lime flavors had a nice citrus taste. The Strawberry, Mango, Mandarin, Pineapple had a nice flavor, not too overpowering. They tasted more like a fruit juice with a little bit of carbonation, as opposed to fruit sodas like those of Welchs. I enjoyed the fruity taste of these very much. Jamaica, which is a Hibiscus tea flavored drink, was not appealing to me at all. Neither was the Tamarind or Guava. The Guava lacked the guava taste I'm used to from guava nectar. My favorite drink, by far, was Toronja. This grapefruit drink had a sour but sweet and citrus-like taste. It was great!
Thanks to Jarritos for the opportunity to taste and review their great products. I was a big fan before and now I'm left wondering why I ever stopped. I was also sent a Jarritos T-shirt, and a ClubJarritos CD with artists such as Christian Castro, Belina and other artists. It was nice to pop in the CD and drink an ice cold Jarritos :)

Also, Jarritos Nation contest is in effect. Created for fans of Jarritos to come together and awards prizes (like digital cameras and even a 12-day cruise to Hawaii) for posting photos.
