There's A Party In My Tummy!

Do you like cooking? I sure do. I have a problem though, I'm not open to trying new foods most of the time. I detest seafood, the mere sight of fish is gross to me. I would have to say pork is my favorite, just because our cuisine is very versatile with the way we tend to prepare it. All of which are delicious. After pork, I'd say meat and chicken are runner ups. So I was making a Meat Pie, as I'll call it (pictured above). I had made ground beef with veggies and decided I'll mash some potatoes up and put them over the meat (sort of the American version of Shepherd's Pie) and topped it with some cheese.

I did this in a small aluminum pan just to see if it would turn out good, and it did. It was really tasty. Sad part is i ate half and left the other half in the microwave for the next day. I come home to re-heat it and its gone. Now, no one confesses but I know it didn't walk out the door! lol. I'm looking forward to making it again in a bigger portion.
Does anyone have any advice on how to make it a little more moist?
Would love some ideas!

After you ground the meat, strain the grease and then add chicken broth and frozen veggies. Cook for about 5 mins on medium heat. Then do the rest as you have done. When you put the meat and veggies in the pan pour the juice (or what is left) in the bottom, too. Should help!
That sounds great! I have a lot of cans of Chicken broth so this just be very tasty and moist! Yum! Thanks Christy!
So is this a Shepherds' pie? It looks SO good! Even on Sunday AM and is only 8:30 here! Good advice Christy!
I am a chicken queen myself...I could eat it every meal! but like pork too. I'll be watching for recipes! I have cooked for a big family for many, many, MANY years...can you tell I am an old mamma? But I get stagnant on my meals and keep doing the same ones over and over. I have never make this before!

In a nutshell, it could be. If you google Shepherd's Pie you get recipes, i think onions are a part of it, I don't use them. It really is so simple and good :) I get stuck on making the same things over and over but after reading so many food blogs I have inspiration lol :)
