Thanksgiving is right around the corner. My family really doesn't celebrate, I am 1st generation American and I understand that they really don't understand the meaning of the holiday. And, if I were to explain it to them, I'm positive they wouldn't care much for the story behind it. Truth is, I believe the holiday has lost its roots either way. Even though we don't celebrate it with the same meaning others do, we sure like to cook and enjoy the paid days off. We're also not fans of turkey and we always cook meat or pork; a nice sweet glazed ham with pineapple. Yum!
Truth is, I can't wait for the ham on Thanksgiving! I wish I could be looking forward to the Football games on Thanksgiving but my team, the
Green Bay Packers, aren't playing. If my team doesn't play, I don't watch. How loyal am I? lol. Can't wait to see what specials come out before hand! Would love some cheap croissants from Pillsbury. We'll see how everything turns out, until then I'll just eat some delicious
Arroz a La Valenciana (pictured above) that I made. Its the Nicaraguan version of Paella.
Yum! Wheres my plate?
