Pocket Shot, a drink on the go. A fun new product which are pouches filled with 50ml of Whiskey, Rum, Spiced Rum, Brandy, Vodka, Gin and Tequila. They are like a modern day falsk. More about the company from their website:
"Pocket Shot is an innovative new concept that provides the consumer with “grab and go” convenient and user-friendly package for alcoholic beverages. Packaged with a distinctive shape to resemble a miniature bottle complete with bottleneck for easy pouring and a high quality sheen with bright graphics, Pocket Shot is truly the first new concept in alcohol packaging to hit shelves in North America.
Each Pocket Shot comes in a 50 ml single serve flexible stand-up pouch containing 80 proof varietals including:
- Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Aged Four Years
- Imported Caribbean Gold Rum
- Premium, Triple Distilled Vodka
- London Dry Gin
- Especial Gold Tequila Imported from Mexico"
To review, I received the Vodka Pocket Shot. It is "clean, crisp and smooth premium vodka that is triple distilled and filtered three times using the finest American grains and purest water with no additives. This clear vodka can be mixed, iced down or enjoyed straight up". I like my vodka straight up and thats how I drank it. It is 50ml single serving and is 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof). The packaging is great, fits in your pocket for when your on the go. The taste was very smooth and I'm sure would go great in a mixed drink.
Overall, I think Pocket Shots is a great product. To be able to discreetly carry it in your purse, back pocket, or anywhere is great. Despite being in single-serving pouches, the taste is not overlooked. A big thanks to Pocket Shots for the opportunity to review their product which I enjoyed :) I hope to see them widely available in the near future! At $14.99 for a 12pk., I think they will make a great gift for many of my friends. :)
