Target - College Essentials 2010

I just ran across a post about Target's College Essentials After-House Shopping Event for 2010. This is what i found on Target.com:

"This August and September, Target will host private shopping parties for freshmen at 36 universities around the country as part of Welcome Week festivities. Target will provide transportation to and from a local Target. The Target After-Hours Shopping Events feature snacks, beverages and a free gift. Most of the parties will be from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m."

This IS a free event so if you're a college student or attending orientation, check out the info below. From the post on AttentionTargetShoppers (ATS):

This is an exclusive Target After-Hours Shopping Event just for college students. No need to sign up…just show up.

• FREE busing to and from Target
• FREE refreshments, great prizes and a gift bag

Over at ATS, Georgia noted that they found a Target Coupon page at the event.

Search for Your College on Facebook – TargetCollegeEvents. Approximately 70 different schools are included in this event.

The coupons could be better, especially if its aimed at College Students. Does Target think we feast on candy, use Swiffer to clean (exclusively), and have prescriptions? lol. I might be attending this, sounds like fun!
