Our favorite little monkey, Curious George, has a new season premiering today, Labor Day, on PBS! Be sure to visit the Curious George website on PBS to see when it will be airing for you locally. The new Season 6 of Curious George will be called "Curious George Takes on the Arts". Below are two of the upcoming episodes for the new season, and let me tell you, they are great! My little sister absolutely loved Sock Money Opera.

Auctioneer George: George has one dollar to buy anything he wants at the Annual Corn Roast and Attic
Auction, and he sets his sights on a pair of red elephant mittens. When the Man with
the Yellow Hat leaves George alone, he bids…and bids…and wins! Only, he didn’t
realize how bidding works, and now he owes $100. While George tries to re-auction the
mittens himself, Marco searches the city for the only person unique enough to pay $101
for red elephant mittens…Mr. Glass. Airs: Monday, September 5, 2011

Sock Monkey Opera: When Betsy gets the chicken pox and can’t see her favorite opera, Hansel & Gretel, she sends George in her place. George loves the opera so much, he decides to cheer up Betsy by performing for his itchy friend. But how can one little monkey sing, dance, and act for an entire cast of characters? See a sneak peek below! Airs: Tuesday, September 6, 2011
PBS Kids and Curious George will be celebrating Hispanic Month by repeating episodes of George and his friend, Marco, the week of  September 19th. And get ready for a movie-packed day on November 23rd when PBS will air a day full of Curious George movies, including one of my favorites, "Curious Georgel A Very Monkey Christmas". I adore that movie and  it will be the first time my siblings watch it.

Thanks to PBS Kids, Curious George and Latina Bloggers Connect we got an opportunity to see the first 3 episodes of the new season. We absolutely loved them! Even my little brother, 9 years old, who thinks he is too cool for kids shows enjoyed them. We all have a soft spot for George and I'm glad I get to pass down my love for this adorable monkey to my siblings. Make sure you catch the new season on PBS! Your kids will love it! Also, for those of you with hard-core Curious George fans, there will be a Twitter Party to celebrate the arts and Latino Culture that will be full of great prizes. Twitter Part will take place on September 15th and 9AM  PST co-hosted by 4 great Latina Bloggers. More details will be coming soon!
