I went to the grocery store on Sunday to buy add-ins for my Nutrisystem meals and ended up paying around $30. This is a HUGE amount to me as a couponer. I went to Food 4 Less, which is not an expensive grocery store, they have a lot of great deals. I bought some celery, cucumbers, carrots, bananas, chicken, 20 cups of yogurt, etc., so $30 was a lot. I also only used 2 $1 Off coupons for the yogurts, that is the least amount of coupons I've ever used while shopping, lol!
I hope that with this experience I can find better ways to save in order to eat healthier. I'm finding out that canned fruit cocktails are less expensive that buying whole fruit, canned and frozen veggies are cheaper as well and don't go bad as fast. I'm really going to look into this, I will stock up like crazy as soon as I see a sale with coupons for these items, lol!
On top of all of this, I finally bought the XBOX 360 Kinect sensor with the Kinect Adventures game. I played for a bit yesterday and it is a lot of fun! Expensive, but fun. I'm seeing a lot of fitness-type games for the Kinect and will be looking into getting one to help with the weight loss!
I had a wonderful weekend overall, and hope that all of you that celebrate Easter had a blast! We don't celebrate but egg-hunting is something everyone loves :)
