Review - Crisco and Eagle Brand Products

Crisco has been making cooking easier since 1911. They have so many products out that its hard to not buy it! They have been rolling out new products like Canola, Corn, and Natural Blend oils; Crisco sticks for baking ease; and alcohol-free No-Stick Cooking Sprays. More about Crisco from their website:
"Since its introduction in 1911, Crisco® has revolutionized the way food is prepared and the way it tastes. From being the first shortening product made entirely of vegetable oil to creating the first cooking oil that was promoted for its light taste, Crisco has been making life in the kitchen more delicious for years.

Crisco brings to mind homemade, down-home, and traditional meals. It is recognized, comfortable, and trusted across generations, yet it is simple and unadorned. It brings about a certain pride in meal creation and attainable excellence in cooking. Crisco brings variety: from baking to grilling; from American to Asian; from simple salads to a complete home-cooked dinner; from scratch baking to a convenient shortcut. Crisco is also a versatile ingredient that adapts to your cooking style."
The care package i received for review included was a wooden spatula that reads, "Aqui Empieza Lo Bueno" which literally means "The Good Starts Here". The products included were a Crisco Pure Canola Oil bottle, 100% Extra Olive Oil No Stick Spray and 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil as well as a Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk and a Low Fat Version can with a coupon for a Free Eagle brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (Up to $3.30) and one for Any Crisco Product (Up to $5).
We are big fans of Crisco is my house, we always buy Crisco's Pure Canola Oil for our cooking. We have never tried their Extra Virgin Olive Oil before, but got to test it out for our little get-together 2 weekends ago. We poured it on the Chicken with Mozzarella and Olive Salad. Now, i don't eat salad, but I must say the taste is very light. The Salad and Crisco's Olive Oil got very positive reviews from my family and friends. I'm so glad I found out about all the recipes on Criscos website!

I recently made another batch of Nicaraguan Buñuelos using the Pure Canola oil to post sometime soon. Hopefully I can edit that video and have it up within the end of the month. I will also later be posting about the Arroz con Leche (Rice Pudding) which we used the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk in. It was very delicious! We love making it during these cold months and it makes your house smell amazing! We have yet to use the Olive Oil No-Stick Spray but we love that the cans spray nozzle can be locked. My siblings like to mess around with everything :) We plan to use it for Thanksgiving Dinner.

Also, don't forget to check out and enter the Crisco's ¿Que Hay De Cenar? (Whats for Dinner?) Giveaway. You can enter DAILY until December 31st. First-time entrants receive a Crisco product coupon ($0.55/1 Any Crisco Product). Each day 10 winners receive a $20 gift card. Once you sign up, you are automatically entered for their Grand Prize! :) A huge thanks to Crisco and Eagle Brand for the products. We were loyal customers and will continue to be, keep rolling out your great new products!

Disclaimer: I was NOT paid for this post, however I did receive the product in question, from the company or their representing  PR company,  free of charge in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own and I have provided a fair and honest review. I received no other compensation for my review nor was I under any obligation to give a positive review.

Weekend; Pending Thanksgiving Dinner Plans & My Sister Is Now A Blogger

I've been away all weekend! Sorry guys, I'm sure you were all busy as well. We finally were able to buy our ham, and bought 2 whole chicken for this Thanksgiving. I have got to look up that recipe for the Drunken Chicken, lol. I can't wait for everything to start. We bought 4 tubes of the Pillsbury croissants and I see so many great recipes we can do with them! Particularly the croissant dough rolled with bacon and cheese (Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheels) and baked, yum!

Apart from all the Thanksgiving Dinner ideas, I was busy helping my sister with her blog. YES, my blog-fever has rubbed off on my 18 y/o sister lol. Its funny, now when she goes to the store she know exactly how coupons and sales work and asks me, "hey, do you have a coupon for these... oh never mind, still too expensive. I'll wait for a sale". lol! She also got bitten by the Giveaway bug, she is in her room entering them as I type :) Shes looking to do mostly book and pet reviews, as she loves to read.

Oh, if you guys haven't noticed. I put up a pic of my babies on the left sidebar :) They are the most adorable things in the world! :) Hope they bring a smile to your face when you guys are on my page :)
