NEW Target Coupons On ShopKick App!

More NEW Target coupons available on the ShopKick App today. Don't know what ShopKick is? ShopKick is an app available for iPhone and Android devices for FREE. You get points for walking into certain stores and scanning items, you can then redeem the points for gift cards or use them to donate to worthy causes :) I love this app, and another wonderful thing is that they post Target mobile coupons via the ShopKick App. The Target coupons on ShopKick are different from the mobile coupons, insert and website Target coupons.

How to redeem? Simply click "Use This" then you will see the barcode which the cashier should scan. You will have 12 hours to use it after tapping "Use This" or else it expires, so I suggest you click "Use This" only when you're already at the store!

5 Geeky Gift Ideas For Valentine's Day 2012

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I bet many of you are dying to find some cute gifts to give to your other half. The flowers, chocolate and other usual gifts are just... old. They don't cut it for me. I love geeky things, therefore I like geeky Valentine's gifts as well. Here are some super cute gift ideas for that geek in your life :) Geeky Gift Ideas For Valentine's Day 2012:

1 - If you plan on cooking (or buying and pretending you cooked) a dinner for your geeky love, you definitely need to consider buying a pair of these Star Wars Lightsaber Candlesticks. Now, the Lightsaber Candlestick is red, the color of love, so pay no attention to the color if your lean towards the views of the Rebel Alliance. These adorable candlesticks will set you back $29.99, but think of the coolness factor of it! :)

2 - Ok now, for all of you with nothing but good intentions, here is a pair of Rebel Alliance Earrings. They are officially licensed by Star Wars and super cute. As a fangirl and Star Wars fan, these would be on my list! The dark side is just not for me, even though I think Anakin was a cutie in his pre-Darth Vader days lol. The earrings are $24.99, but you need to show people you have not gone to the dark side!

3 - Forget the same old heart shaped box of chocolates you bought at CVS, this is much better. The Gift Box of Mini Plush Microbes will be much better received over a box of fattening milk-chocolate goodness calories. The Mini Plush Microbe Gift Box comes in set one (Egg, sperm, kissing disease, an amoeba, and penicillin) and set two (herpes, syphilis, hpv, chlamydia and penicillin). These plushies are adorable, at least when you give your loved one herpes, it will be in a gift box, cute and cuddly :) lol. Each set will set you back $19.99!

4 - Flowers that never die. No, they aren't zombie flowers, I'm talking about a cute assortment of... 8-Bit Flowers. Yes, this 8-Bit Flower Bouquet is a must for your loved one. These pixelated flowers will make your girl the envy of her friends! No need to water and they last f-o-r-e-v-e-r. The bouquet will set you back $14.99 and we think its a great deal!

5 -For those with deep pockets, and huge hearts of course, this next gift is one that I absolutely love. It's an Anatomical Heart In A Jar. The care and dedication that goes into making them definitely deserves its hefty $95.00 value. According to the maker "This piece is formed by carefully manipulating different colors of glass in the flame of a 5,110 degree torch. A great deal of focus and control is required to create such fine details with molten glass! This piece is created from the most durable glass available; borosilicate glass- the same kind of glass used in scientific labs. The jar is a completely sealed vacuum, and does not open. "It looks amazing.

Santa Clara County - 80% Rebates For Home Energy Assessments!

This post brought to you by Santa Clara County’s 80% Home Energy Assessment Rebate. All opinions are 100% mine.

This Winter has certainly been a lot warmer than last, but nonetheless, its been chilly. Chances are we've all turned on our heaters to keep us warm, and if you're out of luck, maybe it takes a lot more for your house to get warm. Now, we moved into a new construction home a couple years ago and am astounded at how cold it gets, drafts coming from every which way. Its frustrating, and so it the fact that some rooms get hotter than others. Why? We have no idea.

All this translates into high energy bills, as a matter of fact, our recent gas bill rose $40+ from last months. This is a great reason to get a home energy assessment! The lucky homeowners of Santa Clara County are being offered rebates that cover 80% of the cost of a home energy assessment by participating contractors. All you need to do is visit sccgov.org/energyupgrades for a list of participating contractors and enjoy your great 80% savings.

There are many benefits to completing a home energy assessment, the one that I like the most is LOWER BILLS. Energy assessments also determine the efficiency of your home's heating and cooling systems. I highly suggest you look to find out if similar rebates are available in your local area and check out the Facebook for more information.
