Coupon Organization

Coupon Organization. We all need to get organized at one point or another. My room was being overtaken by coupons the last couple of weeks. Monday changed that. My "sudden hit of OCD", as my sister calls it, hit me. I couldn't find any inserts, nothing was organized, but i changed all that. I found a perfect place to put them all and i organized them by date. I went through some of the older ones and got rid of them.

I'm looking for something different to organize my inserts though. I came across something super cute from the Container Store that i know many of you would like as well. (See picture on the right). I am in LOVE with that store. They have a bunch of super cute filing systems from crates, to portable filing boxes. (pictured)

Absolutely adorable! I'm sure everyone has noticed that i just HAVE to have cute things! I love clean and simple lines, bright colors, and... anything Tokidoki. Wish they made coupon organizers lol! Organization is a MUST if you handle more than 10 inserts per week. If you don't have a system early on you will get frustrated. Its not fun searching for a whole hour and giving up because you couldn't find that insert. As a college student i don't even have that kind of time to waste. Luckily I'm on vacation until the Fall semester so i need to get in the habit before school starts up again.

I'm wondering what kind of methods you guys use?

My 7/25 Target Shopping Round-Up (Saved 66%)

Eh! Not a good trip. The heat was killing me. The cashier read every coupon for a whole minute from what it seemed. She didn't pass my $1.50/4 Con Agra coupon, so i told her to take all 8 of the banquet meals off! She didn't accept my other BIC Target Q either. What a shame. I can only try again another day. I just wasn't in the mood to ask, argue or anything. Amazing, i saw a 6pk. of Elmers Glue Sticks for $1, but found 2pk. packages for just $.25 each, so i got those instead. My trip:

Bought (12) Olay Travel Size Bars - $.97 each
-Used (12) $1/1 Manufacturer Qs
Bought (2) Bagel Bites 9ct. - $2.28 each
-Used (2) $1/1 Manufacturer Qs + (2) $1/1 Target Qs
Bought (2) Jello Boxes - $.52 each
Bought Lea N' Perrins Worcestershire Sauce - $2.25
-Used (1) $2/1 Manufacturer Q
Bought (1) Toothbrush - @.97
Bought (4) Elmers Glue Sticks 2pk. - $.25 each
Bought (1) Package of Construction Paper - $.88
Bought (2) BIC Bright Liner Highlighters - $1.29 each
-Used (1) $1/1 Target Q
Bought (3) Hunts Pudding Snack Packs 4pk. - $.95 each
-Used (1) $1/3 Target Q
Bought (1) Accordion Type Coupon Filer from the Dollar Spot - $1
Bought (1) Super Cute Monkey Folder - $.75
Total: $11.84 (after tax & coupons)
Saved: $22.61 - Saved 66%

Thank you to Lori, C, & Jenae! I had heard about those accordion type filers at the dollar spot, but would never of have checked it out without a recommendation. I ended up buying one in a charcoal color. So much better than my old "method". It didn't look messy because I had just organized it and taken out a lot of expired coupons :P Here is a quick pic, I love it! So nice & small! Now its time to indulge and buy myself a Tokidoki bag lol!

Help! Coupon Overload!... + New Coupons at Target.com

I love coupons, but my coupon method is starting to stress me out a bit. I bought a cute little Simone Legno Notebook at Target a while back and that is what i use to keep my coupons "organized". When I'm at the store i rummage through them over and over because i can't find them. Keep in mind, this is a regular small notebook. I put the coupons between the pages and have them sectioned (lol) by food, pets, home/beauty and "what I'm using this trip" at that back which has gotten bombarded by random coupons I'm too lazy to move.

I seriously need help! Any advice on a new method for me. I don't like and will not do any binder couponing. Its too much to haul. I need a simple uncluttered small device lol. My bag is small too, I'm looking to buy a better one. I was looking into a Tokidoki bag, but they are so expensive! :(

So if you guys know of any ways, HELP! :)

Target.com has long awaited NEW coupons up. If you see something you like, print it FAST. I can already tell many are going to be pulled in the near future.
Kerry at TotallyTarget has a great list of the new coupons - here
& Match-Ups for some great deals with the new coupons - here

I might be off to my little shopping trip later on today. It was suggested i should post my trip BEFORE i go. I would, but get so indecisive lol. Here are some things i will get for sure though, the rest is a mystery:

(8) Banquet Meals - $.68 each
(2) $1.50/4 ConAgra Products - Total: $2.44
(2) Bagel Bites 9ct. - $2.24 PC
(2) $1/1 Target QS + (2) $1/1 Manufacturer Q (6/13 SS) - Total: $.48

*Totals are AFTER COUPONS.
